Location Situated in a quiet location between Teesdale and Swaledale, this is a good base for exploring this beautiful part of England.  The cities of Durham, York and Newcastle are easily accessible for a day trip and the old market towns of Barnard Castle, Richmond, Leyburn, Darlington and Northallerton are nearby.  The whole area is steeped in history with an abundance of ancient cathedrals, churches, castles and museums to visit.

This is also a great area for walking.  The scenery is some of the best in the country with vast open moorland and beautiful river valleys.  There is also a network of walks from the farm.  Winter breaks can be arranged for groups of up to 10 people with  packed lunch and evening meal.
